FIRST BOOK BURNING

My father, a little Hitler in his own household, was given to book burning as a means of controlling the minds of his dependents. An instance of this was when my mother bought a book purporting to reveal the facts of Freemasonry. Having read it in secret, she produced it one evening, in front of the family, to see its effect on the erstwhile Worshipful Master. Not unexpectedly, it was furiously snatched, to be hurled on the living room fire.
